Regarding “24. Return ‘false’ to prevent default behaviour” :

I think it would be better practice to use the event object that would come along with that and prevent the default behavior ( you could also use that to stop event bubbling and other things ). Like so:

$( ‘a#mylink’ ).click( myLinkClick );
function myLinkClick( e ) {
e.preventDefault(); // prevents the default behavior
// now do the other stuffs
}
